To the crazies who equate a woman "had too much to drink to drive safely" with a woman "had too much to drink to consent to sex (or ask for sex)," I have a couple of questions:

1. Did the woman rape the guy if he also had too much to drink to drive safely?

2. If a guy who had too much to drink punches someone in the face (another guy at a bar, a police officer, or his wife who was getting on his nerves), would you say he shouldn't be held responsible for throwing the punch because he couldn't have meant to do it?

Rape is a real problem. Consensual safe sex by adults who drink usually isn't.

The vast majority of us understand that plenty of people are very cautious about driving after drinking (or say they are because they want to sleep over) and still very much able to consent. In this case, the woman was offered the couch, asked to sleep in the bed with him, and used her words to say she wanted sex 3x.

Pp said “she drank too much”. He acknowledges that she drank too much, by his own words. You don’t say that about someone in a conscious, consensual encounter. Your use of the word “tipsy” instead of drunk is trying to minimize the situation.

Don’t sleep with people who aren’t able to consent and you’ll be fine. If you sleep with people who aren’t able to consent, you are raping them.

Some of the men on here need to go back to elementary. This is basic 1+1 stuff. Im guessing the issue is that many of you have taken advantage of women in similar situations and don’t like to acknowledge that you’re also a rapist. Doesn’t change the facts though.
