Buyer Beware: there is a reason the initial list of invites changed dramatically. At least seven current BSC players who received initial offers for the Pre ECNL team all declined within a matter of hours. They all had, at least one thing in common, they did not want their children on a team being coached by Alex. BSC is well aware of the issues with Alex. There have been numerous complaints and yet, BSC still chose to retain him as a coach. It’s really unfortunate because all seven players are solid players. BSC’s loss will be a huge gain for the clubs they are moving to including Potomac, MSI, Arlington, Juventus, and SAC.

I’ve heard that additional offers from some who received initial Blue team offers have gone out for Pre ECNL now. But are they really to play at that level? Doubtful. Add in that Alex is a jerk who only wants to win and will be belligerent to the girls that he does not believe are up to snuff, I predict it’s going to make for a tough year.

I do hope things work out for you all…maybe he will be on his best behavior in an attempt to rehabilitate his reputation.

How can there be pre ecnl when they don’t have ecnl on the girls side?

One from White moved to PreE and one from White to E2. I don’t think anyone from those teams moved up to E1. All of the White players, except the two that moved up to E1/E2 moved up to Blue. I don’t think anyone from Blue moved up. Rumor has it that the entire Blue team is being/was cut.

At least 1 player for E1 didn’t try out to return. I don’t think any who received E1 offers turned the offer down. I think 2, maybe 3 turned down E2 offers. PreE had the most turn downs - 6, maybe 7.

Heard the Potomac first team is staying almost completely intact another year because all the girls and families wanted to stay with the current coach and continue to develop as a team and they have had a very successful year. Are looking to expand their roster to play more full sided matches next year so could be a good option to check out. FYI.

You will normally get a letter letting you know if they have or have not made the team she tried out for
