If they had done it the, the Rs would have lost their sh*t, bc you know, socialism and it will stymie innovation in pharma. But Trump did it so, it’s brilliant.![]()
And Clinton/Obama/Biden didn't usually go around "announcing" stuff without at least having a plan and some support in Congress. But Trump just goes around saying shit with no plan whatsoever.

Not our problem.
I don’t see the EU fighting for best pricing for the US.
And we see again why Trump won. Democrats aren't capable of being stupid enough to connect with the voters who say it's "not out problem" of a solution doesn't work at all for obviously predictable reasons.
WTF is wrong with you? Democrats have been campaigning for lower drug prices for YEARS!

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I can’t stand Trump but if taxpayer money is used for research to develop many drugs, then they payback from Big Pharma should be lower prices for American consumers. You don’t get to take money from taxpayers then basically extort them when they’re ill.
You have to be stupid. It will be like egg price. He will say it is lowered to .99 and declare victory. Or like tariff. The play is getting old but it is hard to teach an old dog new trick.

This. The extortion is unacceptable and add insurance to the mix and only the tax payer suffers. No one should be forced to turn down medication because of the cost, particularly when their tax dollars went to fund the R&D.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:The prices f drugs around the world will go up. So we won’t necessarily get their current prices. We will get their future prices, which should still be lower than our current prices. When their prices go up too high, treatment of certain diseases will abruptly end. Also, certain countries with defy patents and start to manufacture drugs on their own. This should end in further price reductions.
Drug prices are often set by the government overseas. Pharma cantjus unilaterally raise prices in many places. One hold out is all the MFN needs to trigger a low price. Azerbaijan, you listening?

Anonymous wrote:Wrong again OP... Trump's EO will require the drug companies to charge Americans the lowest price those same companies charge foreign countries. That's a saving of 30% - 80% for the drug.
More winning and less socialism!
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:MFN pricing for drugs is a progressive wet dream. And the principal objectors to this during Trump I was Big Pharma and Republicans. Biden didn't like it. He retracted the Trump Reg that would have forced MFN pricing in Medicare.
Why are Dems so opposed to it now? To me, it just symbolizes Democrats being opposed to every Republican utterance. And Republicans objecting to every Democratic utterance.
We’re not opposed to it. We just don’t think it’s going to happen.

President Trump signed an executive order asking pharmaceutical companies to voluntarily lower their prices, but cited no obvious legal authority to mandate changes.
It's kinda like the RFKjr food dye thing - asking companies to voluntarily promise. It's a lot of bluster and very little substance.
