The family of the victimized child asked NAACP to close the gfm after it raised a total of $341,504. As a reminder, this fundraiser was not set up by the family. Some of the funds will directly assist them and some of the funds will be for systemic change.
Meanwhile Shiloh Hendrix, the woman who repeatedly screamed slurs and abuse at a 5 year old child and their family has raised well over $600k and still has her fundraiser up with a goal of $1m.

Unfortunately in an era of defund the police, that doesn’t signify much. Frankly the term “in the interest of justice” is a very red flag.
To be clear I think her actions are horrifying and indefensible. But having charges dropped these days doesn’t mean much.
Actually that phrase suggests he was wrongly accused.
