I can’t imagine. We (dems) don’t even have guns.

Lol Keep thinking that.

I actually think that what would really scare them is if the left really started exercising our 2A rights.

Yes. This reminds me of how Reagan and California was all for 2Amendment until the Black Panthers marched on the state capitol with long guns. California, and then Governor Reagan, promptly created the first gun control laws in the country. Then, guns were meant for whites only, not Blacks, so they had to nip that shiit in the bud. Now, the right erroneously believe they are the only ones with weapons. Okay, let’s hope and pray it doesn’t come a time they find out their error.

Are you sure this is right? I’d like to use it if it’s true, but it seems a little far fetched. Can you post some links?

Easy to look up, although not the first gun control laws. NY Sullivan Law was passed long before Reagan. And the NRA supported Reagan's gun control.

Speak for yourself. Plenty of us have guns and have more over the past 9 years given what we have seen and understanding history. If our friends on the right who believe in the second amendment only think they have weapons to defend themselves, that is their problem.

It's not, the prohibition era saw widespread introduction of gun control measures.

It is a distinct possibility. There is definitely a "Let them eat cake" mentality with MAGA even though the MAGA base is primarily lower middle class.

Democrats don't need to start a revolution because we hold most of the wealth.

As prices increase from these tariffs, we'll be fine. We'll not like it, of course, but we'll be fine.

I think if any revaluation starts it'll be within the GOP. It'll be in-fighting.

I mean, Democrats didn't storm the Capitol when we lost. We're good trouble people. We're malicious compliance people.

But my hardcore MAGA relatives are slowly losing faith in Trump. They were mainly upset at Musk but now that he's stepped back and not every headline is "Musk cuts ABC", they are now directing their anger and frustration toward Trump. Lots of "this is not what I voted for" messages on social media.

Who will step forward and stand up to him? I’m not advocating for a militia but I’m not sure marching in the streets will get us anywhere. I’m worried we are headed toward a civil war type outcome because eventually people will be pushed to the edge whether it’s financially or mentally. Cracks are starting to form maybe not with MAGAs but people are being/will be disenfranchised by him and soon enough they will have enough of it.

This regime is imploding all by itself. just stay the heck out of the way and let it eat itself.

Honestly, this is what I see happening. These people are their own worse enemy and they've already proven their stupidity. It will crash and burn eventually.

Please no snark...where is the evidence the regime is imploding all by itself? Opinion writers for The Atlantic and The NYTimes who've lived under authoritarian regimes or who have witnessed the collapse of other democracies say we are on the edge of permanently losing everything. Congress is not stepping up. I don't see how this regime is imploding fast enough to prevent the worst. Please share.

DP. Congress has decided to leave it to the courts. There are pros and cons to this, for Americans and for them. But for those with experience living in authoritarian regimes, our strong court system is very different. Slow, but strong. And working as intended, so far.

I hope you’re not rooting for this. If youve studied the French Revolution at all, you’d understand what a friggin disaster it was.

PP here and I agree with you that its not happening fast enough. It may take more time than we want it to but it will happen. The top cabinet members can't even use social media channels correctly (which they shouldn't be using the begin with). The few smart people who Trump somehow strong armed into serving the first time around want nothing to do with him now. This administration is a complete circus and someone is going to take it all down eventually.

I mean even if these people are right, there is nothing we can do about it.

We don’t need guns. When the time comes, we’ll take theirs and use them on them. Cons are cowards. They won’t shoot. We will steamroll them.
