Probably a bit worse than ECRL
Arl, GFR, Stafford and Vienna RL will be strong. Gets interesting after that. Do you like these RL clubs (LMVSC, BRYC, PWSI, DCSC, Herndon, Villareal, VSA, Valor) more than these teams which will be Aspire next year (McLean White, Loudoun Red, SYC2, VRSC2)
VSA belongs with the first group, not the second. Their teams across RL are slightly stronger than McLean green, so I would expect them to be much stronger than McLean white.
This assumes these teams going to GA remain the same as the ecnl-rl teams. Which they won’t.
I know for at least one age group, only a couple of McLean RL players were invited to the new GA team- so the RL team becomes the new aspire team.
I have heard the same, and as a non-MYS parent I’m absolutely fascinated. On the one hand, many MYS teams were struggling in ECRL (7s, 10s, and 12s had losing records and were in the bottom half of the table). So it makes sense those same teams wouldn’t be competitive in GA, so need to play at the Aspire level.
But who are the players moving to MYS GA, and where are they coming from? Top players will continue to play for VDA, Union, and Arlington. After that, players will go to SYC and maybe NVA / Loudoun. So is this players who moved to Revolution or TSJ last year who live closer to the beltway?
I guess we’ll see next year.

Anonymous wrote:Agreed, looking at the past is one way to try to predict the future. But looking at current posture, initiatives, leadership, management attention and focus (just compare their various announcements on their websites, Instagram, etc.) PPA is more forward leaning and showing leadership on building up their girl's side.

Ppa on the girls side, for sure.

2010s following their coach to McLean GA. They are already aspiring for more. Let’s be honest there are 0 former first team ECNL players at PPA it’s just RL players recycling themselves all around GA and Aspire
Does this mean there will be lots of open roster spots for the 2010 PPA girls GA-Aspire team?

All because PPA tied them 1-1 in a tournament where EVERYONE gets to play and they had girls at an ID camp.
Just wow. Keep believing tho.
Bethesda dad swings in with more excuses. Tied a REC team niiiiice
