I am disgusted by Trump and did not vote for him but protesting nationally is a waste of time.
Protesting is unpractical in offering any solution and all it does is highlight the continued anger and differences between political viewpoints which is kinda the last thing we need. Totally plays into MAGA hands.
Dems need to face the fact we lost. Take the bitter pill that stupidity caused. Accept MAGA is in power and daily, be the best person you can be for your sphere of influence. Take power away from MAGA by being different than them. That's the tangible approach to making a difference.
This is not the French Revolution - protest drama is not more drama we need. Unless you really want French Rev violence, this protest is more Dem idiocy.
DSA, BLM, and ANTIFA disagree with you.

I will not be marching on April 5th this year. I'm a Jewish Democrat who supports Israel and its people, if not its current government. It's been made abundantly clear by folks from the leadership of the Women's March to local progressives that Zionism in any form is not welcome in their spaces. I refuse to march side by side with people wearing keffiyehs and waving Palestinian flags and who couldn't be bothered to spare a thought for the Jewish students on besieged campuses like Columbia.
Think I'm alone? Think again.
I saw a Jewish rally for “peace” near the mall yesterday and it struck me as so sad. If you want truly want peace in the area, why aren’t there Jewish and Palestinians coming together? Why does each “side” have a march? Peace and human dignity doesn’t pick sides, it should be universal. There were marches in Gaza, also calling to stop the violence.
I see that as the same fail as Dems and GOP not fighting together against oppression and the billionaires.
We all have more in common than we’re led to believe. Those who want to cling to power, want us to be divided. It’s up to us, if we’ll let that happen. I would be equally sad if a Palestinian said they wouldn’t march next to someone wearing a Star of David or kippah. Why? You’re Americans.
If you don’t like the government in Israel or the US, you might reconsider.

Many local events out there!
But run from the antifa-type leftist radicals.
The antifa types haven't been in DC for a while. They usually stay in the PNW.
Anonymous wrote:It cracks me up that MAGAs think that anyone who disagrees with them is a “leftist radical.” I don’t know anyone who is anti-Trump who is actually a true leftist. Anti-authoritarian does not equal communist. People are protesting the gutting of the government, a billionaire making decisions, the trampling on due process and freedom of speech. You guys are beyond delusional.

Republicans will know the trend of the country. And it won't be in their favor.
Your certainty is comforting, and I hope it's true. Musky is pouring money into that Wisconsin election.

I hope they fill the entire Mall!!

Not me
Trump has lots of work left to do
Now if Democrats would get rid of the globalists and be a party for me a US worker trying to keep a job , then I will join
But Democrats have not changed and still say 4 years of invasion never happened

Will I be able to bring my tesla?

You have the wrong. Dems are literally running over Trump supporters, burning up Tesla charging stations and keying Teslas. This does nothing to help Dems.
In Charlottesville the Trump Nazis ran over and killed someone. Dems haven't done that.
What do you mean? People died during the blm riots.
April 5th process will be peaceful protests. The blm matches were great. but obviously not effective because we ended up with little trump in charge again continuing more more destruction of the United States.
The fact that the BLM marches were not effective should really tell you something. Because the the BLM marches ended up being an extremist leftist event full of damage to properties and also people. If you think the April 5 protests will be effective I've got a plot of land on the moon to sell you. I'm staying the heck away from any April 5 protests.
The BLM protest were effective. The country is talking about police reform and many communities are implementing new policies. Mental health of ALL is being discussed and places have instituted new programs. Issues of racism, sexism, and other ism are widely being discussed. Just because Trump is an unfortunate step back doesn’t mean there hasn’t been progress. It means people need to make a pit stop, assess the new terrain, decide where to head next and then put the foot on the gas and go.
If you’re too afraid to attend the April 5 protest for American rights and the restoration of same government, that’s your cross to bear. America has always been the land of the free because of the brave.

I don't support what Trump's doing...but I'll still shop at Target if the need arises and I'll still support my DD's boyfriend who owns a Tesla. I'm also not unfriending family and friends who voted for Trump.
I personally have more important things on my plate right now. Sure...you'll argue "what's more important than saving our democracy"....but I'll counter that with...aside from making you feel better, IMHO any march, protest, demonstration or rally against Trump is pointless.
It's my vote that will serve our nation better than any march, protest, demonstration or rally.
I also am starting to get this vibe that those who are choosing to march/protest or participate in demonstrations/rallies are pressuring people to do the same. That is not going to win any favors from me.
I didn't march in BLM and I recall my teenagers at the time feeling the peer pressure to participate. That's very wrong IMHO.
So while I support anyone participating in marches, protests, demonstrations or rallies...I don't support pressuring people to do so.
So...no, I'm not going to the protests on April 5th. I respect those who do go and expect the same respect in return for those like me who choose not to.
No you didn't
You are too funny. I did indeed - why would I lie about that on an anonymous forum. There are a lot of people who voted for Harris simply because they can't stand Trump -- not because they necessarily disagree with ALL the things Trump has done. Mind you -- I do not support the chaos that is happening right now - a lot of batsh*t crazy stuff.
Does having voted for Harris mean you must participate in all the protesting/boycotting? I voted for Harris. Trump won. Do I support everything he's doing? No. But I really don't GAF or care enough to protest/boycott, that's all I'm saying. I'm not alone. Hate me all you want but I also think it's wrong to force/peer pressure people to participate protesting/boycotting.
