Insulting women is hilarious to you. This says more about YOU than you think.
OP, it's an insult about the way she looks. This behavior is an old as the hills. Watch thinks like Grease or movies of the 50-80s. Uncontrolled bully boys bark at "ugly" girls.
How do you know the intent of a random teenage boy acting in a situation you didn’t observe?
Yes it’s still funny.
People don't have to observe a boy barking at a girl to know it's an insult. If it's funny to insult females there is something fundamentally wrong with you. Period. I hear you when you say it's funny. Now hear me when I say you are disturbed and need therapy.

And teen girls are dumb too
I've already posted the same. Just kids being dumb. Don't overthink this.
Anonymous wrote:As a mom of a 15 year old boy I can tell you that most of the time they are just being extremely dumb, and it's probably nothing to do with your daughter but rather his effort to get her attention.
Anonymous wrote:It's funny to me that you're having Big Feelings about this. I got called a dog all the time as a kid. Once when my older brother was delivering newspapers, a kid in my grade who he delivered to gave him a dog biscuit for me. My brother somewhat sheepishly brought it home and told me and my mother. She just shrugged and told him to offer it to our dog. Nobody ever said another word about it.

Girls aren’t “sluts.” Were none of you actual girls?

This! It's women proliferating sexism - against themselves, their daughters, and their granddaughters. I'm still having a hard time believing there are women who have been brainwashed or hate themselves this much. Unreal what we are living.
So, OP’s DD gets barked by a young teen in a car. Who knows why. My DS gets screamed at by older teen girls in a car (a couple times). Who knows why. I think all instances should be dismissed. But, if the younger boy does it, somehow it’s more significant?

And the driver, clearly old enough to drive didn't have sense to prevent this.

I have a teen boy and as a woman who was once a girl and a decent human being I would never refer to anyone as a slut, much less a teen girl. That's despicable and wrong on so many levels. It just speaks to their hatred of women and girls.
But please don't think that every boy who does something dumb like bark is doing it to insult a girl. They are kids and do dumb shit. If I heard my son barking at a girl, I'd tell him to never to do that again and that it's not acceptable, of course. But it's really not that deep.
If your son does this, the problem is you, your husband, and his friends. I also have sons who don't behave this way. If I even saw their friends behave this way it would prompt a very uncomfortable talk for them. And I might even mention it to the kid's mom if I knew her well enough. My sons have learned what is appropriate behavior and what is not. So have my daughters. It's our job as parents and we need to take it seriously.
