There have been polls actually. The studies consistently show that liberal white women are the people most likely to end friendships due to differing political beliefs. And yes, as a Trump voter, I dearly love my family and friends that voted for Kamala even though I think they were misguided. Outside of far left and far right echo chambers most people get along pretty well actually.

I used to be tolerant, but I have had enough.

I would consider myself fundamentally conservative in many, many ways but I have never voted for a Republican and I never will. Republican politicians have been racist degenerates since Nixon and are only saying the quiet part out loud now. I am sort of shocked that any of my friends and family vote for them. I am shocked that anybody votes for them regardless of their politics. They only work for the tiniest subset of Americans and if you're reading this you are probably not one.

No. Politics aren't just random opinions like your favorite food or color. The ideologies that someone holds and how they vote, profoundly affects others. It tells you about the person and how they treat others.

And it tells me what kind of person you are.

It’s a question of whether or not you believe in the concept of a “real you” or “who you are on the inside” or not. Personally, I do not subscribe to this belief. What you do is who you are.

Not anymore.

Pre 2020, yes. Now?

No, I can't separate Republicans from their hateful beliefs and no longer want to be around them.

I mean, I'm a fed as is my sibling. This stuff is directly impacting me and people I work with. So either you buy into the narrative that we're "low productivity" or you simply don't care what's happening to us.

No, I can't separate someone from that belief.

This is such an ignorant statement.
Smh 🤦🏼

Meaning that how a person is politically speaks volumes on their true character.

Duh.

I personally could not be friends with a person who had opposite political beliefs.

In the past I could overlook certain issues but things w/our current administration are now so extreme (👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽) that anyone who could be okay w/how our country is being run is someone that I cannot be on the same page with.

Sorry.
Not sorry.

Nonsense. There are no good MAGATs. Only selfish, racist voters interested in lies and the dismantling of our democracy. Or very, very stupid people who have never taken a civics course in their life and don’t know what democracy is. Either way - I have cut all MAGATs out of my life. Good riddance to them all. I have enough other level-headed non-MAGAT family members and friends. I don’t need these other losers in my life.

“All good people agree with me politically.” Sounds legit.

Are you as dumb as you post? I have plenty of friends who disagree with me politically. But guess what? None of them are MAGATs. Let’s see if you are smart enough to understand the difference. But alas, you’re a MAGAT, so critically thinking isn’t your thing.

When you respond with your juvenile "MAGAT" crap, your credibility goes out the door, sorry.

Also, the "let the vulnerable suffer to give the GOP a wakeup call" people in the Social Security thread...no, I think you are as turdy as those views of yours however you voted.
