I remember when people used to say, “I don”t do politics”. Haven’t heard that lately. Because intended or not, seeing a fool run a country empowered people’s confidence. There is no putting that back in a box.
Grassroots movements have power. Now, they’re just going to happen a little but differently - because everyone has an opinion now that they aren’t afraid to voice because they may seem “uneducated” or “unqualified” to speak about it.
Why not consider new ways to galvanize the people? They are the ones leading the boycotts, and attacking Elon’s net worth. Politics as usual is over.

We can’t plan for the next election. We have to respond DAILY to Trump. WEMOD? what would Michelle Obama do? Trump goes low, she goes high. We need to take up space like she does, resist like she does, sass like she does. And maybe, just maybe, we can save the world.
It would have been much easier in the recent past and will be much easier in the future if Dems can just nominate normal/average POTUS candidates that would prevent someone as awful as Trump from ever gaining the power of the POTUS office. What you are suggesting sounds like going around your arse to get to your elbow.
Normal/average POTUS, you mean white men?
The previous didn't say that.
But, I will.
Yes--get a white man! Get an affable Bill Clinton type with a moderate platform and minimal baggage.

This isn't just Trump issue, there are a lot of people who voted for him. It's no use denying this. You can protest and make phone calls, but I truly believe that the only way out is through. Give MAGA the wheel and let them drive the country off a cliff. Focus on tending your garden and keeping yourself sane and healthy.
Sometimes you just have to step back and let the wild fires burn themselves out.

This is what they want. It’s easier to control when people check out. Flood the zone and all that.
Keep your head on a swivel.

Apply that same concept now. Save your pennies, prepare an extended emergency fund, make sure you have precious metals and cash at home, along with a gun, ammunition, and at least a couple weeks of water per person living in your household.
Try to be as independent as possible, so you can lay low for the next few years until the TrumpCessions and TrumpPurges are over.
