They've fought against audits and transparency, they've fought against cost-savings in government, they've fought against fraud reduction in government, and they've fought against border control. And they've fought FOR men in girls' sports.
Polls show that voter approval of the Democratic Party is dropping fast. Democrats are in a worse position than they were in back in November.
Four years of unpopular obstructionism will put Democratic re-election candidates in a terrible position. They need some actual achievements to point to, not just obstructionism. And the only achievements available will be bipartisan ones.
Whichever Democrats defect first and start working with Trump to pass popular parts of his agenda will be best positioned to hold onto their seats.

Absolutely wrong and tone deaf.

A PP is correct that most lawmakers think they are there to pass legislation. They are there to stop a coup. They aren’t mentally equipped for that.
That is their job. They are leaving illegalities up to the courts - and the courts are doing their job, too.
I would argue at this point it’s not about policy, it’s about stopping the coups. And Democrats are expecting the courts to save them when everything will only end up at the corrupt Roberts court.
I have no issue leaving it up to the courts. And I wouldn't call it "corrupt" - just because you don't agree with many of the SCOTUS decisions doesn't make it corrupt.
At least 3-4 of them LIED during confirmation. And 1 of them has SIGNIFICANT conflicts of interest. This is the very definition of corrupt and you know it.

I agree with this.

His town hall last night was great. You don't think so?

We won the electoral and popular vote. You didn't. Deal with it
It always cracks me up when you guys talk about the leftie echo chamber. Go outside of the MAGA echo chamber and everyone agrees Trump et al are unhinged. Unless everyone—and I mean everyone including our allies-are part of the Deep state. Go read a non-American newspaper. You really are part of a cult.

Do they not realize we are not fighting on issue/policy alignment but on perception?
I am so frustrated with the D party.
I know Ezra Klein's column this week and his book has some buzz going: https://slate.com/culture/2025/03/abundance-ezra-klein-democrats-book-derek-thompson.html) and I appreciate him and listen to his podcast but what has stuck out to me recently is David Brooks's remarks (https://www.nytimes.com/2025/03/06/opinion/david-brooks-trump-power.html) that perhaps the Dem issue is they at they don't lean into their base which is not working class Americans, but actually highlight educated and intellectual Americans.

And how will the courts enforce their rulings? They can't with out Congress. An ineffective Congress is a definite danger
This country has a culture of obeying court orders. We all know that when you get to the point of disobeying a court order, you are in the wrong. This is who we are.
There are two prominent people in our government today that do not believe in following court orders, and admittedly they are powerful people, but they are a tiny minority compared to the numbers of department heads, leaders, and the rank and file of the civil service. Court orders will be followed.
Uh if you say so
If you are a true American, you should hope so.
