Not only this, but their entire marketing pitch (which seems truly genuine) is about how the thing they want to attract MOST is students with curiosity and drive toward discovery and finding your path (not necessarily knowing it before you get there.)
W&M also really leans into the “&” part of their brand and have made it a whole thing. You’re not just a scholar, or an athlete, or a performer. You’re a writer & a biologist. You’re a singer & a researcher & a journalist. You’re a rugby player & a computer programmer & a cellist. At W&M, they emphasize doing this & that….not OR. They want students to feel that they can explore all facets of who they are—and the students really respond to that. Go visit. It’s a special place. Your kid will fall in love with it!
