Exactly. This fall/winter I found 2 pairs of $300-400 jeans for $40 each. Fabulous and I don't need to worry about perfect laundering practices.

Never had an issue at the one in Georgetown. It’s probably Tysons itself.

I love it! I always find cute day dresses there for summer/spring. But I don’t mind the haphazard organization or clutter.

The one on Rockville is fine. Both customers and staff are generally nice in my experience.

TJ Maxx is great for holiday gift wrap and bed linens and cushions. Some of their luggage and handbags are fine.

Don’t really get the snobbery.

Also jumping from one unpleasant woman shopping at one TJ Maxx in Tysons to the premise that all women who shop at TJ Maxx being rude is overreach.

DP. Not just at a TJ Maxx (frankly didn't know that chain is still around though it went out during pandemic), but also in other settings. The dogs everywhere thing is out of control. THAT many people need service dogs all of a sudden in last 5 years? If someone has data on this or an article, that would be good to read to understand this trend of dogs in indoor public places.

People complaining that people are complaining about service animals should get out more often and into indoor establishments...ice cream shop, grocery store, school entrances at drop off & pick up, airplanes, what else??

TJ MAXX is thrift for people who can't handle the idea of pre-owned things. Same feeling of finding a "steal" or a "treasure", but with the ability to tell yourself the item is new.

Spoiler: it's probably not. TJ Maxx gets a lot of returns/preworn/used goods that can't simply be restocked.
