So happy to see this. Go Canada! Lots of Americans hate him as much as you do.

But why did Trump hand the election to Liberals?

After Carneys success, I bet you see many other foreign leaders baiting Trump to get similar reactions out of their people. He’s such an easy mark, how could they resist?

So... would Canada be amenable to the West Coast, upper midwest, and New England joining Canada as the 11th province?

We were posting at the same time. It looks like they have a good chance at a majority.

Well done, Canada.

Maybe they can add the US upper Midwest and the coastal states to their provinces.

Most polls are closed. 172 seats are needed for a majority.

Right now (8:05 CST) Liberals - 120 Conservatives - 82.

NDP has 4, and the Bloc is looking at losing seats.

I do wonder how much play this gets in Canada, vs just being entertainment for his US base.

And the old days, in countries that speak different languages from US, it was common for leaders to say one thing in their home language and a different thing in English, because most people wouldn't see both.

But with Internet and computer translation and Canada speaking 80% English anyway, that doesn't work as well.

It's getting a lot of play in Canada. It's such a bizarre moment. Trump has made elections in Canada all about him. And Canadians are voting accordingly. Trump has been a gift to the Liberal Party. They would have been crushed if it wasn't for Trump's belligerence and threats.
