I thought we would resubscribe by now, but we haven't seen the need.

It doesn’t matter. He’s lost hundreds of thousands of subscriptions. DH said he’d be resubscribing in Feb, and hasn’t yet, said he’s not interested. I don’t think any of my friends have resubscribed. There are plenty of other outlets and independents.

Pretty sure WaPo has been losing money for years. Bezos just uses it as an influence tool, like any smart billionaire would. He's seen the shifting political landscape and has now dropped the leftist/woke stuff and getting in line. Not surprising. But don't think that a boycott is going to cause WaPo to change course---the purpose has not been profits for a long time.

He doesn’t care about subscriptions. It’s not a profit making venture. It’s now just his way to suck up to Trump. We need to kick these billionaires out of our important institutions. But how? We can’t even limit their influence in elections.

The answer here is an extremely long game by democrats to fight for the little guy -- elect reps and senators in favor of campaign finance reform and seat judges and eventually nominate justices who will overturn Citizens United. This long game campaign would be equivalent to the R campaign to overturn RvW. Democrats need to get their act together and meet in the middle and fight for the average American being pummeled by R policies, not just identity groups or fringe elements. Their ONLY message needs to be for the little guy, economically speaking, against the billionaire. Unite around this concept now.
