You don’t need any of those things. Just be inclusive to everyone.
This is the irony: DEI has not been inclusive.
Just the opposite in fact. DEI is used to mask racism. DEI treats people (students in this case) differently, based on the color of their skin.
This Trump order is one of the few I completely agree with.

I find it hard to believe they couldn’t find a single man or single minority with merit. Ban em all.
Love the way posters like you tbrow in the word "Southern," as if there aren't all white sororities and fraternities elsewhere. How about New England states, communities, neighborhoods, and colleges that are mostly white? Where is their diversity?

Yes you do. I want to have the option to be in a club for women or for black people. Americans are different. That's ok. What's the difference between that and a club for athletes?
Anonymous wrote:This makes me sad. My first thought was my niece who was adopted from China and grew up in the Midwest. She chose to attend college on the west coast, partially because of the large Asian population. As the only Asian in her HS, she has really enjoyed her Asian/Pacific Islanders group at college. I hate to think of her losing that group.

Do you have a cite for this? I’m trying to find one.

"The Education Department warned schools in a letter on Friday that they risked losing federal funding if they continued to take race into account when making scholarship or hiring decisions, or so much as nodded to race in “all other aspects of student, academic and campus life.”
I don't even know where to begin...I feel like I'm in that Harry Potter movie where the Ministry of Magic keeps issuing inane decrees
So they are only leaving education to the states until they have banned all DEI and race-based programs?
They are still going to enforce federal civil rights law.

Would you have that same energy if white students wanted a white organization?
They have
Only they know where they came from so it is the German American association, Italian, etc
The German or Italian associations are not based on skin color like the Black organizations.
Try again.
These are all cultural organizations. African Americans do have a long standing culture that is somewhat separate from White American culture. Anybody can join these organizations, it’s not closed to other races. If you want a white organization go for it, you just can’t block anyone else for joining.
“You are free to start a white organization” and “anybody can join these organizations,” are both laughably ridiculous statements, PP.
But, you already knew that.
