Ok ok, so only half of the elementary schools get screwed. In that case, carry on!
This! Even better!Anonymous wrote:Option E reads as 9-3:45 or 9:50-4:35pm. Both are part of the ES solution. It’s not all ES gets a 9:50 start.

Some like the later start!Anonymous wrote:Option E reads as 9-3:45 or 9:50-4:35pm. Both are part of the ES solution. It’s not all ES gets a 9:50 start.
Unless you have an only child then you are dealing with MS times for more than just 2 years.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Not true. Some elementary schools would still start at 9:20 or so. And then some would have the later start. They all are not in the same time bucket. So, for all your belly-aching about this potential late start, we are not even talking about it involving all of the elementary schools. So, get your facts straight.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:We were at a 9:20 start time ES and had no issues with the start or end time. My kids loved sleeping in until 8:30 or so.
But under this plan your school would start at 9:50 am and get out at 4:40. That’s a lot for little kids. They can’t concentrate that well in the late afternoon.
Ok so because it only affects some elementary schools, we should not care and not speak out against it?
Wake up your middle schooler early for two years and quit your bellyaching. (See how unproductive that kind of argument is?)

Or maybe no change for this ES because a 920 start time would fall into the range of adjusted start times.

On the slip side, the businesses that provide aftercare probably won’t be as needed if those same kids are getting home at 5, 5:30.
