Aren't people supposed to have a security clearance and drug tests before they work with sensitive government systems?

Yeah, remember the flyovers Trump had on July 4 last time he was in office?
The bands are military people, though (not civilians, I think).
All those things are done by officers.
Military band is not officers. The conductor is an officer, but not the band members themselves.
but how much would they actually save by cutting army band etc.? or what kind of fraud waste abuse would there be? we're talking about bunch of musicians - artists basically, the least 'swamp-istique' part of the swamp...

Thank you.
I work for one of the “Big 5.” We haven’t gotten any terminations at all yet. We also have some contracts at civilian agencies and haven’t seen any impacts there either.
Same for us, but in all fairness, DOGE has not entered the primary funding agencies yet.

Here’s the latest list of the doge team. There’s women here too…although not the most illustrious of bios…Stephen Miller’s wife who made a name for herself getting into a lot of trouble in Florida

Highly accomplished. Well educated people. We’d all be impressed by their accomplishments and intelligence if not for the MAGA connection.
Bravo. This is some cold satire.
Her actions at UF are ridiculous
So we have a bunch a druggies conducting a date breach of all our personal data? Soon it will be for sale on the dark web.
Well there’s the 19 year old popcorn heir Edward Coristine who was fired from his summer internship for leaking confidential company data.
And Gavin Kliger the 25 year old who circulates white supremacist stuff online who now has access to your tax data from the IRS.
And Alexandra Benyon whose most recent role was at her husband’s ketamine start up company.
What could possibly go wrong when you mix a data leaker, a racist and people who use drugs (Elon Musk is also a ketamine user) in one group along with Katie Miller the sociopath who nearly got kicked out of the university of Florida.

So awful. Because firing the youngest recruits hired for skills the agency doesn’t have is such a smart thing for the government to do.
A lot of the probationary employees are senior employees who were recently promoted. So you're not just losing your newest recruits but your best performers as well.
I don’t think many people, including doge, understand that new positions and promotions in the government have a probationary period, no matter how long you’ve been working for the government.
