Why the need to identify "who" you are?? Plenty of people have those usual common ingredients and things in their homes, nothing to do with "who" you are

Are you kidding? Your average person’s kitchen is full of boxes of processed food, and they wouldn’t know ghee if it smacked them across the face.

you sound so arrogant. good thing not all Indians are like you.

Going to the grocery store daily isn't a hobby OP. Find something else to do with your time.

I just read the forecast for snow has been reduced to only 1-4 inches.

I mean ... what do you have in your house already? It seems like that is key. If there is anything you don't have that you would need for a few days, get it.

Otherwise, just try to deal with your anxiety.

Of course but I like fresh stuff.

What fresh stuff are you talking about?

OP is under the delusion that just because it is in the store, it is “fresher”. Reality = the truck comes 2 days a week max and it’s mostly all the same amount of old. No common sense.

Frozen vegetables are plenty fresh.

I shop at teeter and their produce is not as fresh as I’d like. I could not buy for a week in advance. We eat a lot of fresh broccoli roasted. I can’t do that with frozen and the stalks turn brown after about two days.

I roast broccoli and cauliflower from frozen all the time. So easy, and less messy than cutting it up myself.

I roast frozen vegetables all the time, including broccoli. Turns out just fine.

Please share your secret. Do you defrost and dry them first?

I dump frozen broccoli or beans into boiling water for 2 minutes.

You will literally have one MAYBE two days of bad roads. You can't skip a store for one day?

Anonymous wrote:Live in NE so used to snow storms. You don't need to stock up per say just make sure you'll have enough TP, soap, trash bags, laundry detergent, dish detergent, and whatever products like that you'd use for a week.

Then I get a couple easy meals like Panera soups, bread, salad ingredients, and things like that. We have a generator if we lose power but the stove and oven don't work as well with it.

Then some snacks that we don't normally get to make hunkering down a little more fun.

Why not make your own soup? It’s so easy, and Panera soup is processed trash. I know, I used to work there. Sodium bombs.

Anonymous wrote:Ugh Harris Teeter's produce is awful, actually as bad as safeway and giant. I only shops at Whole Foods, Wegmans and sometimes Hmart for produce.

As bad as the ones at TJoe's? Even oranges have gone bad after a day or two.

We roast frozen broccoli and cauliflower all the time. You just have to know how to do it. It’s delicious, and we can have it whenever we want.

Really? I often keep broccoli in the fridge for over a week and it's fine!

Not when I buy it from teeter. It gets limp and the stalk turns brown.
