We can cook up a storm even if we are stuck in our attic.
Why the need to identify "who" you are?? Plenty of people have those usual common ingredients and things in their homes, nothing to do with "who" you are![]()
Are you kidding? Your average person’s kitchen is full of boxes of processed food, and they wouldn’t know ghee if it smacked them across the face.

Of course but I like fresh stuff.
What fresh stuff are you talking about?
OP is under the delusion that just because it is in the store, it is “fresher”. Reality = the truck comes 2 days a week max and it’s mostly all the same amount of old. No common sense.
Frozen vegetables are plenty fresh.
I shop at teeter and their produce is not as fresh as I’d like. I could not buy for a week in advance. We eat a lot of fresh broccoli roasted. I can’t do that with frozen and the stalks turn brown after about two days.

Please share your secret. Do you defrost and dry them first?

Then I get a couple easy meals like Panera soups, bread, salad ingredients, and things like that. We have a generator if we lose power but the stove and oven don't work as well with it.
Then some snacks that we don't normally get to make hunkering down a little more fun.
Anonymous wrote:Ugh Harris Teeter's produce is awful, actually as bad as safeway and giant. I only shops at Whole Foods, Wegmans and sometimes Hmart for produce.

Really? I often keep broccoli in the fridge for over a week and it's fine!
