+1. Musk couldn’t be found out so he tried to bury the bodies. The question is whether they are going to stay buried. My guess is no.

Musk is wasting money on Superbowl ads, I hear, in order to brainwash the masses.

Wow, all this to avoid jail?

Jail? The statutory punishment for treason goes beyond jail. Plus there’s the whole issue of his irregular immigration background…

We didn't have the courage to do what was necessary last time and that's why we are here. Fear of making Trump a martyr led him right into being a dictator. As much as I would love to deport Elon, I do think as an AmCit he should pay the price of treason for the sake of global security.

It's always a PsyOp with these people, whether the broligarchy, Christofascists or MAGA. That's all they have and it's one big circle jerk.

He is taking at a $40 million ad during the Superbowl to defame USAID. It's my wet dream for them to show UNCLASS copies of the IG report incriminating him. MAGA will never believe it, but independents will do a double take.

It sounds to me like he was receiving funds from both USAID and Pebtagon during the time in question. USAID would/might not have known about the Pentagon contract.

It appears he was aiding and abetting the Russians during the war. Pretty much a treasonable offense.

If he had not gone into USAID and fired everyone first, it’s very likely that the results of the probe would have leaked while he was wrecking havoc with the rest of the agencies/departments. He had to silence them first.

OMB and/or the appropriators would have known. HACFO and SACFO would have visibility into this if DoD notified. The main opacity in all this is the Pentagon. As a former high level foreign assistance advisor, I can assure you that State and USAID were always under the microscope by Congress.

Lots of unanswered questions that Musk wants to quash.

Well I think we now know the answer!

If Ukraine was selling Starlink units to Russia in a corrupt manner, how is that Musk's fault? It's actually the government's fault because they lost track of the units they purchased.

Where is there any evidence that Ukraine was selling Starlink to Russia? Ukraine certainly did not sell the Tesla Cybertruck to Ramzan Kadyrov. Clearly Russia has other means of evading sanctions and Musk isn't exactly quick to look into it. A sanctioned Chechen warlord gets one of his Cybertrucks and all he has to say is "interesting" and moves on to some other deranged MAGA nonsense.

He had $1 million USAID contracts so the agency’s OIG was investigating issues with those Starlink contracts. That is certainly a proper function of an Inspector General. It’s exactly what an OIG does. Elon was just projecting this whole time…

$1M? That's pixie dust compared to their overall contracts. This doesn't make sense.

Yeah. But if Musk was violating sanction that would put the rest of his government handouts for SpaceX and Tesla at risk. His “success” is built on usg subsidies.

Not to mention starlink would tank if it’s true that he manipulated it. International contracts will probably start canceling.

Ontario cancelled a $100m contract.

Good!
