I reviewed some data on Wheaton HS vs. Whitman HS.

Wheaton HS has a FARM rate of about 60% (HI around 60%) and a Special Education rate of approximately 10%.
Whitman HS, on the other hand, has a FARM rate of less than 5% (WH around 60%) and a similar Special Education rate of about 10%.

I also looked into a few other high schools, and while the FARM rates vary, most schools seem to have around 10% of students in Special Education.

It doesn't seem like the White students around your child are purposely getting an IEP or 504 just to receive extra time on tests. Their parents may appear to be more pushy, but that's likely because having a child with ADHD or ASD naturally makes parents more involved and attentive to their needs.

The open houses for the programs. I believe it’s also specified in the available written descriptions online but would have to search. Of course if the essay mentioned something unique to a particular school they will know

If a student is in a middle school magnet, then it is not school blind. The evaluators can tell from the name of the courses if it is a magnet class and therefore ascertain that student is at TPMS or Eastern. So somewhat school hidden, but not blind.

Category of MS is different from knowing it's Silver Creek or TPMS.
