How does one refute hyperbolic knee jerk nonsense? Soft Americans have no concept of oppression or the fear actual dictatorships generate. This is the United States of America. We have three branches of government. The president isn’t that powerful. Seek professional help.

Weird. I was under the impression that it came from China and was a global pandemic.

No. HRC labeled half of America as "deploreable." Biden gave a speech claiming MAGA as the enemy. Later, he called Trump supporters "garbage."

I honestly wonder if we can ever go backwards on the this division and what it would take. It has became very “us vs them” and it’s not healthy for a nation to be this divided.

The oligarchs want it this way so we blame each other while they steal America's assets and money and screw us.

It doesn’t. Because nothing matters anymore. Welcome to the second Gilded Age.

People voted for this. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice…

I didn’t vote for Trump. I am appalled by him and our country voting for him by even a slim margin. The only way for me to get through a second Trump admin is to completely mentally check out.

Yes, there will be a crisis and he will choke again because he always has. He is a weak lame duck president with an axe to grind this time. He will be to fixated to get us out of a crisis.

Folks know what’s coming but don’t want to admit it and I have this out in the bottom of my stomach of just how crazy the next 4 years are going to be. With news that deportation raids will start on Tuesday and the distraction that is the TikTok ban, it feels like we’re just passively moving into oligarchy. Where are the pussyhats of 2017? Where is the resistance? I’m truly truly scared for what is about to come our way…

I give up. Too depressed.

If a normal Republican was elected like Mitt Tomeny, Liz Cheney, George Bush, etc. I could deal with it. Trump though is beyond the pale and is scary since he thinks he know everything and does not think things through or listens to experts. Just read about the long list of Republicans who worked with him who reported he is unfit for office.

We are going to get MORE big brother, not less

Exactly. Unless you’re extremely wealthy you’re getting more taxes, please refer to the Senate tax thread.
