It's astounding that this thread is even 5 pages deep. There's absolutely no reason to work for Trump. He doesn't care about his people. And they are not the beneficiaries of his grift, they are the fall guys for it.

I wonder how many people from Trump's first White House are coming back to work for him again.

I'd honestly like to see some numbers for that. I doubt it's very many and for good reasons. His previous staffers already learned it wasn't a good experience.

Most self-respecting Republicans want absolutely nothing to do with that train wreck.

Does anyone remember in 2017 there was a post and many replies about a head hunting agency contacting DC area executives to work for Trump? It’s highly unusual that an outside civilian agency would be recruiting for the White House. The best way to find a job is to have a job. This guy should check out USAJobs and take notes on how to fill out the sf-86. It takes time to find the current addresses of a college roommate or a foreign friend. What did the guy not get a job during the campaign?

I’m not trying to be cute. I’m genuinely curious since my friend’s husband is actively trying to work in the Trump administration.

If he is smart and moral, he should try to work for one of the smart and moral Republicans who is left. Or work further down the chain at one of the federal agencies.

Your friend's husband should open his eyes and look at the long long trail of bodies that Trump has left behind him everywhere he's gone. Trump is loyal to nobody. Cabinet officials, Trump Org officials, senior advisors, campaign managers, lawyers, you name it, lots of people who did a lot for Trump and made a lot of sacrificed for him - all kicked to the curb and many went to jail for him, and Trump only turned his back on them. Those aspiring to work for Trump need a wake-up call. Do some reading and research on it.

It has to be money, and you can't have any negative history whatsoever with him. Trump's transactional nature for example did not at all extend to people like Nikki Haley who kissed his ass after he became the nominee. He still threw her under the bus.

Think twice about putting a Trump tie on your resume.
