Yea, I do believe that the new Administration will seek to downsize the federal government to an extent, which isn’t shocking for Republicans.

But the tinge of hysteria is a bit much.

If it's so important for me to be in the office 40 hours a week to do my job, I will be a hell of a lot less inclined to answer the phone when it rings at 3am.

Look, I’ll do whatever they tell me to do. Don’t get sad when things you took for granted, like your internet and phone service, or your food safety, take a turn for the worse. Agency’s have been resource strapped for years and everyone with any experience knows it. Is there waste? Sure, but the U.S. government is the largest employer in the world. There is no such thing as a perfectly efficient organization. Chasing efficiency in itself becomes inefficient at this scale.

I voted for Kamala Harris, just to set the context.

I think all 4 steps make sense, and they should do it. The amount of waste in the Government agencies is unbelievable.

Govt employees are just milking tax payer money. I love what Trump is doing. I hope he does all the above and much more. The era of lazy government bureaucrats taking advantage of taxpayers should be over.

These 4 steps are exactly right and it pains me that more people (voters) either don’t understand it or don’t care. And I suppose there were a couple of pre-steps not listed: demonize the democrats, sow distrust in non-right wing media, and elevate right-wing media.


+1. Agree with all of this. I just have a handful of years until retirement so I will stick with it and I hope that works out, but I’m encouraging my kids to enjoy do something not related to the government.
