I read recently that the latest Covid shot has only been received by about 20% of US adults and 10% of US children.

I vaccinate to reduce amount of sick time if I get a virus. I enjoy life too much
We’ve never gotten very sick from covid. Youngest got a runny nose for a day. I was sick about two days. Husband and middle child completely asymptomatic.
Flu has been a whole different ball game for us.
+1 Covid doesn't seem to bother our family at all. We got our 3 Covid shots back in 2020 and are done. But the flu? No thanks. So we've all been getting the flu shot every year for 10-20 years and haven't had the flu since then.

Our doctor didn’t recommend them and we don’t plan on ever getting them the boosters. DH and I got one booster early on and didn’t get any more after that. Looking back, I regret giving the initial shots to my kids but caved to the pressure here.
Why? Did something happen?
Yes the lamestream media lied to us
What did they lie about?
Effectiveness of the shot particularly in preventing transmission
Health professionals were clear that the main benefit was less severe illness. I don't know what media you watch, but I was aware it reduced but didn't prevent transmission.
Yep. We were all forced to get the vaccine so we'd have less severe illness.

Anonymous wrote:I prioritize flu shots. Flu can be especially bad in young and heathy people. But not COVID. We haven’t had COVID shots after the initially 2-3 doses yrs back.

My kids are males, athletes and all of the heart data concerned me. None of us have ever tested positive for Covid, now 5 years later. Never got a booster or variant shot, etc,
My kids have had all required vaccines, get flu shots, etc. I think we have the genetic variant so Covid doesn’t affect us. We have been exposed closely before and still nobody has gotten it.
