Subject: As a woman, if you must pick one shorter than you or taller but skinny, who would you choose?
I'm a slightly taller than average woman (5'9'') who is an inch taller than my husband and I think these posts where people act like this is weird are hilarious. No one has ever acted like that in real life and I know multiple couples where the wife is taller. It's really not that rare. Not new either, my grandma was taller than my granddad.

Laughing at the bold because I know two couples where both men are great personalities, well-off financially, about 5'6" and very slim and small. And both are rock solid couples. Maybe it's because both the men are athetes. Not the "great physique" you're picturing, I'd bet; theyre not bodybuilders with big muscles and I doubt either has washboard abs. But trim, toned, and according to their wives, full of energy and stamina.
Your tidy little formula would say these guys are "f***ed." Well, they are, but not in the negative way you mean it....
How tall is each man's wife? And are their marriages strictly monogamous, with no instances of infidelity between any of the spouses?

Disagree. The 5’6” guy as you described will be snapped up. Money plus looks and great personality trump height.
You'd think so, but that's not what all the short men online are saying. They are frequently perceived as try-hards for working out, "compensating" with high income / luxury goods, and at best, will be told that it's a shame they're short, because otherwise they'd be a great catch.
Every shorter man I know that is good looking, wealthy, and charismatic is married is a beautiful wife by any standard and living great lives.
"Shorter", but not short? List their heights, please.
5’5”-5-8” range I would say.

We all have our types - there is someone for everyone. My DH is 6 feet and slightly overweight but super masculine - full beard (which I love), can literally fix anything. Washing machine just broke? He fixed it. Something wrong with the car? We rarely need a mechanic. He’s definitely not everyone’s type but certainly mine. And further in our culture we are fed this weird obsession that "I need a man to protect me". It's very bizarre. I lived in many Asian countries when I was younger and in the countries I lived the men were much smaller weight wise even the taller ones very skinny. Those men would be considered very small weight wise by most American women.
I am a big guy and we need to be honest with ourselves. We are fat in this country I am sorry but it's the truth harsh maybe but it is what it is. It's so bad that we have a distorted view of weight. When we see someone who is skinny (and probably healthy) we immediately question whether they are sick, if they eat or are anorexic. Yeah we and a few other countries like Germany Mexico etc we are just big.
This is a lie. I’ve seen big women with tall skinny men all the time. Those skinny men need someone to keep them warm. I see a ton of Central American women built thicker than their Central American husbands.
