It's a crowded field. No one knows what will happen with the noms, except that Mikey Madison is a sure thing and Demi Moore increasingly seems so. I think Kidman makes it in, but it's not certain. Erivo, Jolie, Gascon, Torres, Jean-Baptiste...any of them could make it in, any of them could miss.
I agree right now it looks like Madison, Moore, Kidman, and two more. Most likely Gascon and Torres or Jean-Baptiste, but it could be any of them.

Angelina is everywhere, campaigning. She is desperate for an Oscar. However, she was just snubbed from the BAFTA long list today. She will be lucky to even get a nomination, let alone her delusions of winning.
She was awkward in the roundtable, really doesn't know how to join in conversations. Unlike Tilda and Demi, who are so warm and friendly. Jolie has weird, packaged sound bites as answers and doesn't engage well with others. Trots out "community" but when has she used her power and wealth to create community for other women in Hollywood?
This is a minority opinion because i have only seen comments that was lovely during the roundtable which I agree with. They were all nervous, especially Zoe and Zendaya. It was cute to see.
LOL don't mind them. They live in their own world. There was a great dynamic between all the women
It was uneven. Tilda and Demi were delightful, engaging and philosophical about the work. I think of Tilda as doing such high-brow, artistic work, I thought she might be a snob but she was so down to earth and funny. Zendaya was awful, so poorly spoken compared to the rest of them, with nothing interesting to say. Why was she even included, when no one is talking about her getting a nomination? It was interesting to see which performances the women gushed about: Zoe's, Demi's, and Mikey's. The ladies didn't say anything about Maria, and Jolie mainly sat and waited for questions with a half-smile plastered on her face. And her trout pout is crazy looking. Very quiet for a long stretch after the comments on the importance of female friendships. She seemed to connect a bit with Zoe at one point, the only one she complimented. For an Oscar frontrunner, Mikey was so sweet and shy.

Good point. She burned bridges with some very well-connected and -liked women in her community, and now has to deal with being out of favor in Brad's influential circle to boot. Not easy to come back from that, but she also hasn't been very strategic about trying. Why not direct more women-centered projects, for example, to earn some good will? She's been dutifully attending the events to campaign for Maria, but I have't seen her being photographed with her peers like Nicole Kidman and Demi Moore, both of whom are good friends with Jen A. Nor has she had celebrity friends promoting her work in the same way some of the others have. Fair or not, one piece of this is a popularity contest.

Yeah, Lainey constantly reiterates that popularity is important. She's a Jolie Stan and has said that hurts her.

Yeah, she became so dull once she dropped her rebel persona and adopted a lady of the manor lifestyle with Brad. And her messaging: noone loves her kids as much as she does, noone works as hard as she does, noone misses their mother as much as she does, noone has been hurt in a divorce as much as she has. I find her completely insufferable now.
