No. I had my only child at 45, with the help of a surrogate. I have a very supportive DH but we don’t have family help nearby. We love our child but it definitely is hard on us physically. I can’t imagine being any older at the time of birth.

She might. I know one person at 50 and one at 53 (!!!) who both carried with their own frozen eggs.

Acquaintance of mine had first at 48 and second at 50. I think she's nuts. Her DH is younger than she is and has two from a prior marriage--they've been together for going on ten years. I can't fathom why they didn't have them sooner. (And yes, I do know there where no infertility struggles. She froze her eggs they did IVF, they just chose to wait. She told me).
I'm supportive of course, but my kids are much older as am I, so I know what waits for her....and how draining it is.

Maybe? When I hear of 50-year-old new moms, I always think about how sad it was that playwright Wendy Wasserstein died at 55, leaving behind her young daughter (around 6 I think). She was a SMBC though.
