However, I'm not sure everything he wants to do isn't justified. He'll likely make a mess out of some things and others, it won't go well. But overhauling the status quo is the right move. Then he should get competent people to overhaul the status quo. The problem is, the people he is bringing in are set to destroy it. The only ones who can survive that are the billionaires.

I’m 100% a democrat voter, but this whole condescending attitude is why democrats lost support.

BS. Anonymous posts on a mommy website aren’t changing votes.

Well, when your entire party is mocking people who can’t afford groceries, you don’t tend to win, but do go on.

No one mocks people for having trouble affording groceries. Democrats are mocking the fact that people who can’t afford groceries voted for a charlatan who not only has no plan for reducing the price of groceries, but who lacks a basic understanding of most issues and doesn’t care about poor people, and who heads the political party that tells people to lift themselves up by their own bootstraps and gives tax cuts to the rich, pretending that wealth will trickle down. They literally voted for the government least likely to help them.

You are splitting hairs. The Democrats are absolutely mocking people who can’t afford food. They are also insulting them, wishing them harm, and generally being objectively awful people to people who are far poorer than them.

And then they are confused as to why they lost in such spectacular fashion. Perhaps they shouldn’t be so quick to refer to other people as stupid, since they are too slow to figure out this particular and quite obvious problem.

You're making the PPs point.

And they didn't lose in "spectacular fashion". The final results are showing very slim margins in a handful of gerrymandered states.

+1000 I stopped voting dem except local city elections because of this rhetoric.

Condescending, like Trump’s photo op at Mcdonald’s?

Voters loved that. Why? Because it’s genuinely true that the man loves McDonald’s.

They were fooled into voting for the guy who pretender to work at a closed McDonalds for a photo op instead of the woman who actually worked at McDonalds because she didn’t inherit $400 million. We’ll see how that works out.

The democrats are the ones who ran a candidate who offered solutions for increasing costs at the grocery store. The problem is, people voted for someone who didn't even offer a concept of a plan on that front. THAT is why they are being mocked. We are ALL impacted by high grocery prices.

Why on earth should anyone trust the Democrats when they’re the ones telling people inflation is under control, crime is down, and the border isn’t open?

It’s gaslighting plain and simple.

Wow, so are you one of the people they cut off their nose to spite their face? Because D’s are confused? Don’t get it?

I’m a Harris voter who understands why Trump won and is angry about it, and in particular I am angry at the Democrats that decided that mocking the working class is the way to go forward.

Honestly I’m getting to the point where I’m probably going to register Independent. I don’t want to be associated with the Democrats anymore.

Other than randos on a message board, who are probably trump supporters anyhow, what elected democrats are mocking working class Americans?

Do better next time and stop letting idiots win elections.

Perhaps the populace is that stupid?

Or maybe liberals and the DNC don't give a crap about the poors and we're only paying lip service about SAVING DEMOCRACY from the evil orange man. After all, regardless of who is in power, the Pelosis and Schumers get to keep their cushy jobs with good benefits.

Well, what has Biden done to address the concerns of these people other than to tell them the economy is doing well?

Inflation has gone down (reminder caused by a botched pandemic) but people can’t pay attention to facts anymore.

What hairs am I splitting? No one is getting mocked for not being able to afford things. Voters who chose the person and party least likely to help them are being mocked for falling for thinly veiled bullshit. Trump was never going to save them. He doesn’t care and doesn’t know how to even if he did. They had literally no reason to think he would help them. They blamed Biden for the post pandemic economic downturn that the entire world faced, no matter what their economic policies were, which the US has fared better than most.

Inflation is down, but overall prices are not.
If you salary kept up or your investment/invesment income is up, then you don't notice it so much. If it hasn't, the large increases in rent/food should be noticable and you may be doing without.
