A thick slice of beef tenderloin (with red wine sauce)
2x sausage stuffing (grandmother's recipe)
Spinach and blue cheese gratin
Greek lemon potatoes
Stuffed mushrooms

I wouldn't dare ask you to post your grandmother's recipe, but one quick Q: is the bread component of the stuffing corn bread or seasoned croutons?

My plate is called Basic Middle Aged White Lady:

1. Obligatory slice of turkey breast (skin on)
2. Mashed potatoes
3. Roasted root vegetables
4. Homemade cranberry dressing
5. Stuffing
6. Corn bread casserole

Usually I eat a green vegetable or two, but those would be the first dishes on the chopping block if I had to choose only 6 things.

A hearty helping of gravy on the turkey and mashed potatoes, obviously.

Dessert:

2 slices of warm bourbon pecan pie with vanilla bean ice cream and a small obligatory slice of pumpkin pie that I will wish was bourbon pecan pie. But don't you worry bourbon pecan pie, I'll be back for you for breakfast.

Side note- I love a good bread basket but I have never and would never consume a dinner roll at Thanksgiving dinner. Priorities people!

1) Brussels sprouts with bacon (and a mustard, balsamic, maple syrup sauce)

Want this recipe! I would make and eat this all the time, not just on Thanksgiving.

“Do We All Secretly Hate Turkey?”

Mashed potatoes and gravy
Dressing
2 x corn pudding
Cranberry sauce
Green bean casserole

Dessert: Whatever. I would probably rather skip and have a second plate of leftovers later on.

1. mashed potoatoes (with sour cream and lots of butter)
2. stuffing (vegetarian, sage, caramelized onion)
3. maple balsamic roasted veggies (butternut squash, brussels sprouts, carrots)
4. green bean casserole
5. cranberry sauce
6. mac and cheese

subbing in mac & cheese for the turkey. bold choice. I would do the mashed potatoes with gravy and call it “Turkey is just for the gravy”
