Moving with younger kids would be preferable than moving with older kids.

My husband's tech company has UK offices and moving is a real possibility for us, but he would take home so much less that it wouldn't be worth it financially. Money aside, I might have considered moving there when my kids were much younger. But now that they are both in elementary, I feel like we are so settled in our neighborhood and school community, I wouldn't want to permanently move them away. I know that eventually they would make friends, etc. and feel at home, but I wouldn't want to impose that extra level of stress on everyone without a very good reason.
