Had a tumor on her brain stem that they successfully removed, but could not do that for the tumors in her lung. She responded immediately to the immunotherapy that she did, I think it was a biologic drug, and went into remission within a year. She’s been in remission for the past 5. I know it’s a sample size of 1, but it makes me hopeful for Teddy. I really don’t like Teddy on the show or her podcast or her diet company which is so restrictive and unhealthy in practice and on her actions from the last year where she cheated on her husband with a many who also had young children and a pregnant wife she was friendly with, but obviously want this mother of young kids to make it.
This is incredible. Good for your friend. It's good to hear that immunotherapy has advanced to the point of successfully treating metastatic cancers.

That’s awful. Her kids are still pretty young. F cancer. Hopefully there’s a really good treatment protocol for her specific tumor subtype.

Is it possible that nothing else progressed, and there were no signs of cancer anywhere else in her body, and now it's stage 4 in her brain? Honest question, I don't know. But it would seem like you would be aware that the cancer spread before it got to your brain?
You would not necessarily be aware of cancer spread before it got to the brain. Once cancer cells metastasize, they can do anywhere. Including the brain. She could’ve felt perfectly fine until she had some symptoms (headache, blurry vision), etc. Her doctor has probably now done a full body scan + bone scan to check for metastasis in other organs and the bones. But yes, totally possible it was melanoma with metastasis to the brain.
Also possible it was a second cancer. Did she say if it was benign or malignant?
I would think she’d be symptomatic of spread elsewhere too? Regardless - I hope they are unrelated, benign tumors.

Anyone else feel like Teddi is the type to have a Nancy Kerrigan moment of crying "Why me?" repeatedly?
