Mcps doesn't usually label things as holidays because of SEIU. If they can label a day is not instructional then it becomes a no work. No payday. If they label it as a holiday then SEIU staff have to be paid


This is why the calendar never says Rosh Hashanah even though it's always going to be off for Rosh Hashanah.
