My neighbors are Trump supporters and we are friendly but don’t talk politics. We will continue to invite them over. We are Americans at the end of the day and I refuse to participate in divisiveness. They had Trump signs and we had Hillary signs. We know each other’s politics and nobody has ever gloated at the other side’s loss. Again, Americans above all else.

lol, frats have changed or you just made this up. In my days we talked sports, girls, booze, and sometimes classes. No way are 90 frat guys displaying their political affiliation during this kids weekend trip. I’m going with made up or at least highly exaggerated. And my days included 2016, so I really doubt politics is the hot topic in a frat house.

you are very disconnected with the youth today, culture is now downstream to politics

counter culture is now conservatism, liberalism is seen as a rot and being politically correct is seen as an unnessary annoyance.

My 4th grader goes to a parochial school and said everyone's mom is voting for Trump except one kid. Why they are discussing this , I don't know.

Along the same lines - my DS attends college at a university in the midwest. A couple of weeks ago, he visited high school friends at a very liberal California university. He stayed with them at their fraternity house and said that, of the 90 something guys in the frat, only four had publically said they are voting for Harris. All the rest are enthusiastically voting for Trump. Maybe it's a safety in numbers kind of thing.

Why would they support their own deportation?

Idk how that community votes, but I imagine the campaigners figured Cao might attract the Vietnamese community.

I'm Filipino/white with many immigrant aunts and uncles. Most of them are Ds who don't want a dictator like Duterte, but a few Rs who are staunch conservative Catholics against abortion. All of them have lived here since the 60s or 70s.

That's nothing new my friend. I took a course in political economy many manh years ago and our Professor was explaining to us why some people vote the way they do. Some of the case studies we looked at left many of us perplexed because the voters were clearly voting against their own interests and not only they knew it but they were okay with it. But here was the think many didn't think said policies would affect them individually. It's weird.

It’s mixed where I live. I do kind of wonder about the trump supporters who put up signs. I will be friendly with them, but they will never be close friends

Why are you so afraid of women? Because they see right through your BS? Or are you just insecure and fragile?
