Megan from The Thorn Birds. It first aired in 1983 and the name picked up popularity starting in 1984 and for the next decade.

Willow has been a beautiful name for a long time - it certainly had nothing to do with the very strange Smith duo.
I associate it with the character from Buffy the Vampire Slayer in the 90s in terms of pop culture references, rather than Willow Smith. I definitely know some Gem Xers with kids named Willow and they are way more likely to have been inspired by Buffy.

Charlotte and Olivia are pretty classic names.
I was born in the 60s and there were no Olivias or Charlottes in my classes. Also there were none amongst my mother's generation (1930s/40s). While old names, they are also cyclical.

Charlotte is a very old name but became more popular with some moms because of the character on Sex and the City.

It did have an additional uptick after the show and then another burst around 2010. I looked at the SS for the specific ranking and Emma was a top 20 name (#13) in 2021. The Friend's baby was in 2002 and since 2003 after that the name has been in the top 3.
So the data indicates that Friends was following the trend, AND yes, boosted it further, but it's not a name that BECAME popular because of the show. It was already popular.
