You sound like a real moron.

Case in point.

So edgy because you choose your votes based against people who have strong beliefs. Try thinking for yourself and actually educate yourself instead of relying on the opposition. Pathetic.

Which "opposition"? Opposition to what? Opposition to whom?

Brenda Diaz accepted and attended a fundraiser for her from Moms For Liberty. That was all I needed to know.

It's still on the calendar for her campaign website, too.

Can you read? I was responding to a poster who said they wanted to vote for Diaz. Good luck in life, you'll need it.

+1

Considering how poorly Bethany Mandel did in the primary I suspect Brenda Diaz will lose handily. The word is out Diaz is hateful and ignorant and has no place on the BOE.

Sure hope you are right. She has signs up everywhere which scares me. Hopefully people are getting exposed to how awful she is and know to avoid her

Wow, no religion barred masking or the Covid vaccine. And, God had no place in public schools.

The First Amendment guarantees a place for God in schools. You are practicing the exact form of discrimination Diaz complained about.

She’s isn’t very smart and can’t write a coherent essay, but who in the BOE or MCPS admin is?z
She is correct that coercive measures to mandate everyone inject a new vaccine is wrong. Remember thalidomide? Why is it progressive to hate on Big Pharma for everything except vaccine mandates?

And masks are terrible in school, and everyone knows it. If school is so unsafe that everyone needs a mask while having conversations in class, the class shouldn’t be in-person.

dp.. there are currently vaccine mandates for kids to go to public schools. Where was your outrage before covid over this?

FWIW, I was a bit suspect over DC who was 12 at the time getting the covid vax because I felt they did not do enough research on prepubescent girls and how the vax would impact their growth and hormones. DC did eventually get it.

Just so we're all having the same conversation, there is not and there has never been a vaccine mandate for children to get the covid shot. It's not on the list of mandatory vaccines.

At best, Zimmerman is using the BoE position as a stepping stone to a career in politics. At worst, she's a workaround to giving the union a spot on the board. She doesn't have any kids the system, she won't feel the impact that of any BoE decisions would have on kids.

Both Zimmerman and Diaz are absolutely terrible candidates that don't belong anywhere near the board.

Zimmerman seems wonderful to me.

She may be a wonderful person and a wonderful teacher, but she's a terrible candidate for the board.

Sure, how awful it would be for a wonderful person and a wonderful teacher to be on the board of education.

Not only that, the BOE has 9 members, right? No one member can get much done unless 4 others sign on.

That's more of an argument in favor of Diaz.

No, it's not. Here's the rule: don't vote for a crank.

Well that knocks out all 6 candidates.

No, it doesn't. You might not like the other 5 candidates, but they're not cranks. Brenda Diaz is a crank. Specifically, a crank supported by "Moms For Liberty".

I don't know how to explain this to you if you don't get it already, but if the church of Satan came out and said they support you, they doesn't make YOU a Satanist.
Moms for liberty is able to exist because most of their platform is academics over equity.. yes they then go over the line but we are all now looking for a more moderate candidate. History predicts that when societies don't move back to center, they end up on the extreme. We are much too far on the left now.

We’re in a country that looks like trump might be reelected. We aren’t left enough. Read a book.

We’ll we’re in a COUNTY that is not voting for Trump and is indeed too far left.

Ok, smpotatoes… keep deluding yourself into thinking local politicians give a f*ck about anything you have to say.
