I actually think it’s simple.

People want tax cuts. It’s like all the people who run up credit card debt and just pay the minimum every month. The consequences of a devalued dollar and no longer being a global hegemon are unfathomable to Trump voters.

Trump voters don’t understand economics. They think Trump will pass the tax cuts, enabled by a GOP controlled congress that will comfort themselves that the “cuts will pay for themselves over the next 40 years.”

Trump voters don’t understand history. They comfort themselves with the notion that Trump “doesn’t mean what he says and can’t actually do the crazy things he’s announced.”

Trump voters imagine that Trump will be surrounded by people who will constrain him enough to prevent any real damage.

Trump voters imagine that allies will forgive us if we elect him a second time.

Trump voters have zero comprehension of actual suffering and lack the imagination to grasp that the United States is not guaranteed prosperity and freedom.

Harris has lost 5 points and is even in the most recent NBC national poll. She needs to be up by 3 at least nationally to win the EC.

She is tied or losing in a lot of Wisconsin polls. Biden was up by 10+% at this time in 2020 and only ended up winning by .7%. Similarly, she is polling far behind Clinton and Biden in every swing state.

Harris is appearing in Fox News on Wednesday because she’s desperate. She’s so desperate her team is talking to Joe Rogan about doing an interview, which is going to just lead to a focus on transgender surgeries for migrants and prisoners and “gender affirming surgeries,” issues she does not need to talk about to gain swing voters and moderates. She topped out in the polls after Trump’s bad debate and has been sliding down ever since. The more TV and podcast appearances she makes, the worse her polls get.

There are no big events (debate) between now and the election. Her campaign is freaking out.

That Trump is so relaxed that he is turning his rallies into an old person disco and isn’t even bothering to fire up his base should worry Dems. As should everything I mentioned.

This! All Trump has to do is let her talk. She never answers any of the questions, and I suspect she loses more votes with each interview.

If you don’t like that she “doesn’t answer any questions” how can you tell us with a straight face that you will vote for Trump since he doesn’t answer any questions either? Please explain your double standard.

“Let’s not do any more questions. Let’s just listen to music. Let’s make it into a music. Who the hell wants to hear questions, right?” he said.
For 39 minutes, Trump swayed, bopped — sometimes stopping to speak — as he turned the event into almost a living-room listening session of his favorite songs from his self-curated rally playlist.

He played nine tracks. He danced. He shook hands with people onstage. He pointed to the crowd. Noem stood beside him, nodding with her hands clasped. Trump stayed in place onstage, slowly moving back and forth. He was done answering questions for the night.

He briefly returned to talking about the election and the importance of winning Pennsylvania. After Noem gave Trump the option of closing “with a specific song” or taking “two more fast questions,” he addressed one of his aides: “So Justin, how about a couple really beauties and we’ll sit down and relax.”

It was time to listen to Andrea Bocelli’s “Time to Say Goodbye.” After listening to James Brown, Trump began to speak again, as if remembering that he was still at an event that was billed as a town hall.

OP, last night there were two separate medical emergencies in the crowd (heat related), since the hosts of the Town Hall couldn't afford A/C in the tent. Were President Trump to continue answering questions while medical teams were at work, you'd have something to say about that as well.

And this is why people are voting Trump. People are sick of manipulators (you/the media) openly bending/hiding the truth to propel forward someone who is desperately unqualified.

What I hear you both saying is you don’t think it matters who the president is, they have no effect on the country.

Then you’re not listening. I think Biden/Harris have been awful and Trump was and will be better. You disagree, and we each have one vote.

Anyone who can watch the entire 39 minutes of Gramps bobbing on stage nostalgically to old hits from his middle age and think he is the best person to run this country should maybe take a cognitive test themselves.

Ps Inflation is now down to 2.4%. Thanks Joe! Amazing you got us a soft landing.

Yeah he’s so “relaxed” he’s going pull another GW Bush, ignore the taxing daily briefings and allow another big attack on the US.

He has the attention span of a gnat. Time to put Grampa Donny into a nursing home with some of his fake Time Magazine Man of the Year covers and turn on a continual loop of Hail to the Chief. He’ll be happy and won’t realize he’s not in the WH.

It's not a matter of disagreeing. The facts simply do not support your assertion.

That's easy. Because he's running against an empty suit named Kamala Harris.
I've watched all her interviews and am utterly convinced she isn't at all ready to run the country or be commander-in-chief.

and he is ready?? oh boy.

Ready? He already did it once and he was fine. And yes, we were better off then.

He rode the coattails of the Obama economy, passed an 8 trillion dollar debt increase bill that consolidated wealth in the 1% and then bungled the pandemic to the point there were empty shelves, broken supply chains and dead bodies piling up in our overtaxed hospitals. But you seemed to have memory-holed that.

So don't vote for him. I think the reason Kamala won't answer the question of whether you're better off now than 4 years ago is she knows we're not.

Four years ago we were excited if we found toilet paper in stock at the grocery store.

THIS! So many people have memory holed COVID.

Searching for toilet paper while wearing masks and gloves because four years ago, we still didn’t know how the virus was transmitted.

Your thread title should have just ended after the word him. We don't need to be giving that orange head any more attention that he craves. How can anyone be supporting him? Period.

All of his businesses failed.

^^^THIS 100%

He's the king of bankruptcies and he's going to bankrupt our nation. Every credible economist has warned us about his failing policies. He's going to re-ignite inflation with his disastrous tariffs, give huge tax cuts to his billionaire corporate friends, and blow up the deficit like he did the last time while slashing agencies that help Americans like FEMA and NOAA.

Harris supporters don’t care what electing her will do to the country. You don’t care about the people she’s crushed financially with her terrible economic policies. You don’t care about the millions she allows into the country illegally on our border. You don’t care about the chaos and wars around the world that are raging due to her weakness.

The majority of economists say inflation will be higher under Trump. US economy is doing much better than other developed countries under Biden and Harris's watch.

Immigrants play a critical role in our economy and society. That's why Springfield wanted and asked for immigrants. Biden and Harris worked with Republicans to address security issues, and Trump tanked the bill. He doesn't want to fix immigration, he just uses hatred of immigrants to build himself up.

Wars raged globally under Trump too but you don't care about Africans.

You also don't care to listen to the numerous former staffers that are voting for Harris because of what Trump did on January 6. They know him best and have told you what most of the country already knows - he is dangerous and unfit. Vance is not going to hold back the chaos like Pence did. Trump will make sure to surround himself with more yes men like Pence.
