My goddaughter went to homecoming in a suit. It was nicely made and fit.
Sorry, no drama there. Might be a different story if this was 1950s deep south / Cape Cod but, honestly, it does not raise an eyebrow in 2024.

As long as the suit was evening appropriate for the event, rock on young one, rock on. Heck, I'd event showed her some jumpsuits with removal skirts.
