It’s like she’s working frantically. Why?
She has been producing a lot of the shows she's appearing in (and it's mostly limited series on streaming platforms). I think she knows she has a bit of an opportunity now to pull an audience due to the popularity of Big Little Lies and she's making hay. By producing these projects she also make backend from the streaming services so that increases her payout. I think it's going to become a lot harder for her to work at all in the next few years just due to her age and the types of roles she plays (she's truthfully already stretching it a lot by playing these mom characters but at least in The Perfect Couple she is believably a mom to adults). I can see her making the occasional movie or getting a character role in the odd prestige TV show but I think this is it for her in terms of headlining projects and being able to get stuff greenlit with just her name attached.
Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston are in a similar mode though they both have more non-acting lines of revenue (endorsements and product lines and such) than Nicole does. But it's all just aging actresses realizing they may be hitting the ceiling on their acting years. If they make enough they could just invest and coast OR if they want they can set themselves up to continue to produce. But they need cash and industry connects and that means work work work.
I don't like everything Kidman does these days but I respect her for working her butt off and seizing every opportunity. It's better than climbing on an ice floe and waiving goodbye.
Nicole Kidman has a net worth of $25 Million. I mean, how much does she need?
I don't think it's about money. I think she needs to get as much work as possible before age catches up with her. And it will.
It already has. She is creepy plastic surgery territory. That is why I don't want to watch her anymore. I can't deal with actors who have altered their faces into that alien look. It's so distracting and off-putting. It pains me that this is becoming "normal" to many people (and that many people seem to find this attractive...ugh!) and will probably ruin many things for me.
Same. Along w Aniston, cox, Shania Twain, Kristen Davis. Just why?
Why? Are you this obtuse? Think long and hard. Hmm. Maybe impossible beauty standards for women in our society??? DUH
