I'm agreeing with you. IMO goals are just one piece of the puzzle and are more important if you're a forward. Middies have a different job, and she was very good at hers.

1st and 2nd team are voted on by other coaches (ie consensus across each district). honorable mention are basically named by each coach and more free for all.

Please keep this in mind when you read about all district, all region and all state awards. Some pretty mediocre players have come away with very high accolades.
