Biden will be withdrawing from the 2024 race very soon or else he will lose in November. Either way, he'll be moving out of the The White House in January 2025. Why go through the long and painful POTUS removal process when he'll be gone in 6 months anyway?
Because Obama can control Biden and he may not be able to pull the strings of a different Democrat. That’s the real struggle here.
Obama is smart enough to know Biden has zero chance at this point. If Obama is loyal to the Dem Party and Americans, he'll urge Biden to step out of the 2024 race. If Obama is more loyal to Biden, he'll keep quiet and comfort Biden when he loses in November.
Obama has already come out post debate for Biden. It is either Biden or an autocracy, there is no other option.
I find it hard to believe Biden doesn't have the decency within him to back out of this race. Fifty years of public service in politics and government and he wants to throw any positive legacy away at the end of his career by being the guy that hand delivers a second term to Trump? I don't think so. He'll bow out gracefully.

This is the tell that democrats really don't believe democracy is in peril. If they really believed something needed to be done to save the country, they wouldn't back the vegetable in chief.
It is just a sound bite, the jig is up.

She would need to appoint a VP, but the Republican House would never approve the nomination so it would likely be an Acting VP. The same duo would be the nominees in November.

Psaki explained it in an interview. That’s the crux of it. She said it would cause such big problems for him to stay neutral and not endorse his own VP that they’d be trading one set of problems for another to acknowledge that they put a muppet in VP position for DEI reasons or whatever rather than competence. Plus the fact that the Dems are the ones constantly harping on about democracy being at risk and what they’re basically suggesting is a few hundred insiders picking the president rather than the millions of people who have already cast their vote.
There’s no way to spin it. They should have opened their eyes and dealt with this months ago but were too arrogant and now there’s nothing that can be done.
Sorry, but I don’t buy this argument. Biden is dead in the water and needs to step down. The Harris problem can be overcome. Democrats need to do the right thing.

Wow, great news keep coming. Come on Joe hang on, you can do it -you answered all the questions Joe, good job.
That Jill said that to Biden after the debate and especially how she said it, has been haunting me. She could not infantilize him anymore had she handed him a lollipop afterwards.
And while she did so that poor man stood there with that confused, vacant smile plastered on his face. It really made me sad seeing him like that.
That short interaction summarized this entire issue pretty succinctly.

Omg STFU. I’m voting for Biden. He is far superior to Trump. Trump has already demonstrated he is unfit for office.
