Subject: Goody Bags, are they still in?
I hate it all. Candy, plastic junk etc. We dont do them after the age of 3 for my kids. Im not american, the idea that a guest needs a present to take away is ridiculous.

I hate them and I am white American. I don’t care if my kids or your kids love them. They are wasteful. Stop being selfish and wasteful. It’s really that simple. We all know this but most people do it for appearances or because they impulsive shop. I don’t care if Charlie’s mom thinks I am cheap because I don’t give junk bags.

My kids love them. Most of the ones we get are quality. Mini squishamellows, balls, water wows.

We try to give useful things or we make the favor something the kids did at the party - one year, we had a sleepover and the kids personalized pillow cases with fabric markers and paints, one year we had a spa party and gave each girl a nail polish and a mani/pedi kit (that they used at the party), one year we had a pool party and the kids took home a beach towel, etc.

my kids love them but I don't like wasteful trinkets, so we try to compromise - we've done bubble wands, tee balls, mini pencils with little notebooks (3 in a pack from Walmart). stickers, favorite candies, made quarter page coloring sheets.

Most beneficial party gift ever was a large sturdy canvas duffle bag w my son’s name embossed on it. He got it at a party when he was about 6 and he’s 17. It’s been used for swim practice for years and is now used for his volunteer job. Totally useful, practical and I’m sure cost more than most party favors.
No one cares if you give a gift at the end.
You mean you don’t care because kids sure cares and loves them.
