I don't see them doing yardwork or exterior home maintenance this afternoon. Or going for runs in the middle of the day. Or playing a game of basketball at the park.
I love summer, but I am not an idiot. You do not do yardwork in the middle of a heat wave.

Summer is DC is the best! It's warm, sunny, long days. Swimming, tennis, eating outside.
You people are literally nuts. I live for the summer. Fall is nice, but the winter and early spring are cold, wet, dark, and gross.
Anonymous wrote:I think this preference depends on what part of the country/world you're from. I am from Texas and was just thinking this morning on my walk how mild DC summers were. By comparison, E coast summers are a cake walk. But, again, I grew up with way worse so it feels great here. I love heading to the pool and being able to walk.
My kids were born here, however, and think that it's scorching. But we all agree that winter is the worst season.

Are you fat?
No hot girl summer for you?
I’m willing to bet that’s the common theme here- fatties. Hot weather is a lot tougher on people with more girth. They have a much smaller mass-to-surface-area ratio, so they can’t shed metabolic heat as quickly as fit people can. So they really ARE hotter in hot weather, because they simply cannot shed excess heat.
Because SCIENCE!!!!!

It's true.
They are only fair-weather summer lovers.

I’m an educator so I do love not working over the summer, so I’ll give you all that. But give me 40-60° days year round and I’ll be happy.
It seems like you are melanin deficient. Shame.
