Turkey burger on a potato bun. I hate hate hate being skinny. I have been trying to gain weight forever. I am 47 and only weight 140 not good at all for a man. I am very stressed though with impressive bench squat deadlift numbers and I am muscular. Sadly the lack of mass is an issue for me

I think of it as middle aged women acknowledging that their eating habits have to drastically change if they want to remain thin (also fine if they don’t want to be thin!). I fall into this group and have been slowly coming to terms with the drastic dietary changes (that I am willing to make).

If I eat a big lunch, I have a super small (like a salad) dinner... If I eat a small lunch ( a few spoonfuls of chickpeas, usually), I eat a big dinner.

Size 2 for the last 25 years (except for pregnancies).

I eat healthy sized meals, and certainly when I'm out to dinner with people. But I never have 3 big meals per day. I also only eat when I'm hungry, so if I had a big dinner and I'm not hungry for breakfast, I stick with just coffee.

If a "few spoonfuls of chickpeas" is "small", what do you consider a 'healthy sized meal'? 6 spoonfuls of chickpeas?

This thread is really helpful because I eat very healthy but I think my portions are bigger than they should be (I’m trying to get back to healthy skinny/thing).

Not skinny but thin.

Tonight is pulled bbq chicken, salad, corn, and potatoes (which I won't eat many of but DS and DH will).

Lunch was salad with hummus.

Last night we had pizza. DH had hand tossed, DH and I had thin crust and we all had a big salad.

This is a breakfast or lunch for me. Albeit an expensive one.

They had a good price at Costco. Usually, they are over 10 dollars, but I think it was 7 dollars yesterday for the package.
