You work every day why can't you afford a hotel? I can't stand being hot. I would get a hotel bcof the temperature of her place.

You need to leave. Rent a car and get a hotel with a gym. Tell yournhusband he can stay there. Ill bet money he goes to the hotel also.

You can Uber to a nearby cafe and work from there, avoid being with her all day. She'll also get some privacy she is used to. Old age decline, aches and hung ups can mess people up. Be the adult and survive for few days..

That’s really rude to expect to work from someone’s house when it’s a one-bedroom. Your DH should have gone early and you followed when you didn’t need to take over her house for your job. Or you should have gotten a hotel. Yes, she’s being crazy/ rude about the car and walking path. But it would be hard to have guests when you don’t have space for them.

Definitely move to a hotel asap.

Well, this piece may be true. My sister lives in a community next to a retirement community (not gated). They and their neighbors get yelled at whenever they walk in the retirement community. I doubt there is an official rule but it’s a hassle.

The flip side of this is that her son and DIL are imposing on her for a whole week, taking over her kitchen to work so that she can't watch TV and insisting on making the house too cold for her. The culprit here is DH, who should have gone to a hotel instead of putting everyone through this misery because he wanted a pricey vacation instead of a hotel.
