Bc while I appreciate that OP put thought into this, I (a 44 year old father of 2 kids aged 12 and 15) would not want anything in that post.

A panama straw hat?!? GTFO. a Newsboy hat?!? even freaking worse. nobody has every looked good in one of those. Jesus H.

All of these ideas may be good for OP, but christ almighty, these ideas are VERY specific just to OP.

Please ladies, do not just assume these are good ideas.

I am really sorry you are out of touch with fashion, but wide brim hats are all the rage for men. Fedoras and flat caps are back. Panamas in summer.

You might not look good in them, or lack the self-image to pull it off due to your insecurity. But they’re extremely popular and hard to find.

I’m sure if some glossy magazine claimed that zoot suits, spats, and platform shoes were in style, you’d be saying every self-respecting dad should be wearing those.

All those dads will look so chic with when they are playing with their throwing stars in their new sombreros...

My boys and I got dad a house with a chef, driver and tickets to the US Open. The 3 boys are going with dad and I am hitting the spa! Massive win.

Sooooo

What would you like?

For me, I could use a new speed rope for working out. and I like the Rocks' brand of weight lifting clothes from UA. So either of those would be great.

Someone else recommended some good vinyl. I collect records so that would be appreciated. Or some old band t-shirts would be good too. Or vintage band/concert posters for either the basement or the garage gym. But truly vintage ones would be awesome; not reprints.

Having my car detailed would probably be the one I would be most excited about.

This is what my DH would most like. Will probably get him this for Father's Day, high-end bourbon and organic butcher gift cert for his birthday the following month.

Ha, my husband is getting his car detailed, a bottle of expensive scotch that he would never buy for himself, and a gift certificate for Snake River Farms (highly recommend).

I’m hoping safari vests will come into style so that I won’t have to keep my keys/wallet/phone in my shorts pockets in the summer.

Bullshit. You sound like a loser.

Dude, throwing stars and a straw hat?

Forget about getting your man card taken away, you never had it in the first place.

I am much more man than you, my friend. But by all means, go back to your stupid gadgets and video games.

Another DH/Father weighing in here. Either fishing gear or tools are all I ever want or need.

+100!

It's amazing how every list for father's day gifts are the same--booze, BBQing gear, hot sauce. As if every man is a stereotypical sitcom dad. I would give anything for a list had some imagination/creativity in it.

umm every prior dcum list I've seen has had BJ as #1.

I appreciated this thread just because it made me order something early, so it’s a more personal gift. Thanks, OP!
