You people are CRAZY. This is by far one of the most unhinged posts I've seen on DCUM. We now care that a kid got into a college based on athletics versus his brains? As if he won't need to use his brains to pass his classes in college too? This thread WREAKS of jealousy and hate. If you don't like Prep, why comment on them? Just ignore what they have going on and focus on the schools that meet your laundry list of "doing things right"......according to you.

I agree with OP. Not mentioning athletic recruit gives a false sense of how kids are getting into colleges. By omitting this information, people can think that just any smart boy with no hook can get into top colleges.
These top schools are not admitting dumb kids whether that are recruited athletes or not. You are just as bad as OP (if not the OP).

Yeah. The Instagram thing doesn’t tell you how many got into these places.
My kid is at a rival and unhooked was accepted to 3 T10s and 3 T20s—headed to the T20 since best in his major.
Only 1/2 of his HS reported on Instagram.

Goes to show how many GP boosters are on this site. We all know what a difference athletics makes and to lie by omission is dishonest. And it’s not run by students but by the school itself since it’s on their actual Instagram page.
OP, how is it a lie? I've seen many kids post their college and leave out their sport. Why are you so worked up over this?

Someone has probably pointed this out, but these instagram lists are maintained by students, not the school.

You need help. Let me guess, your kid got rejected by Prep or you couldn't afford it so you had to send him to another Catholic, most likely Gonzaga. You've been checking Instagram incessantly since January 2024 desperate to see Prep's admission results to reaffirm you have value a mom and human being. By 10 PM on May 10th, you had checked Instagram for the 30th time of the day - you try to limit yourself to once an hour but forgot your meds that day - and JACKPOT!!! All your dreams came true!
