This was really well done. The husband def comes off as a walking red flag. And she seems really unhappy. It’s sad

This is my favorite quote from the article. She IS in a cult. Mormonism is a cult.

“One of the most influential trad wives is Nara Smith, a 22-year-old Mormon model (four million Instagram followers) who talks in a voice so soft she sounds as though she has been brainwashed by a cult, and is constantly pregnant and draining something fermented through muslin.”

Has anyone else seen her birthday tiktok where she was hoping to get tickets to Greece? He got her an apron and kitchen stuff instead. Not to be harsh but she needs to get her and her kids out of this situation. I content is dangerous for young impressionable people.

Goodness that’s depressing. He sounds like a douche.

His muttering “You’re welcome. Had it for a long time” is chilling.

ah let me laugh! You see, as i was telling a friend of mine when this topic was brought up, the difference between so many of you and the rest of us is the following:time always vindicates us---the ones with critical thinking skills who don't easily fall for well-constructed narratives, images and face value stuff.

From the moment i became aware of this woman's existence, i argued that she's a glorified hostage and that she didn't strike me as someone who's fulfilled and, dare i say, emancipated. It wasn't hard to see, truly.

For one thing, we don’t know if she was good enough at ballet to have a sustainable career, even if she wanted to. Also ballet is at least partly torture in service of a beautiful picture, which is exactly what she does now. She’s the prima ballerina of Mormon influencing. There’s nothing in this article that proves she lacks agency. It’s just a sloppy hit piece.

I worked at Juilliard when she was a student there. Yes, she was talented enough for a professional career. Not at a ballet company like ABT or NYCB, but she would have easily found a spot at a contemporary ballet company in Europe.

She got into Julliard, that’s not average talent. She also danced professionally but her career was short due to the marriage and children.

She is a gifted dancer and it’s sad to read that even though she likely wanted a dancing career she gave it up, perhaps unwillingly.

Does she have any real agency for herself at all? I am worried this article is going to make the situation much worst with her husband. How insanely creepy he is for basically using jet blue to stalk her. I didn't like her beforehand but now I pitty her. Poor girl is trying to make the best out of the situation. Money is not and will.never be everything

The guy comes across as insufferable. She comes off as Serena Joy after her husband has died - a sad woman who is in a life she doesn’t want to be in.

He’s smiling big in all pictures but this article sounds as though he’s disconnected from the family (and her, except when he impregnates her every 9 months).

Sorry, every 18 months.

Agree. The way the situation is described, she's arguably akin to a hostage.
