+1, too many horror stories of cold/wrong food, bad treatment of both drivers and the restaurants.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:They are all delivery services essentially. Just made more accessible to use via an app. Have you ever had a pizza delivered? Same thing. It's not really a big deal if you have or haven't used it ever.
It is not the same actually. In house delivery is much better for the restaurants and their employees. I will get delivery if the restaurant itself offers it. Otherwise we pick up.

+1 especially for take away food. You are multiplying the number of hands on something you intend to directly ingest. I also have noted that my neighbors who get food deliveries are very heavy. I think these deliveries contribute to obesity.
I can guarantee that it’s not the “delivery” making them
Obese. It may be the type of food they eat though….. or could also be about 10 other factors. SMH
It is a behavior. Laziness/idleness. Go on out, move around, pick up your own supplies. Mogern living has us sedentary enough as it is.

I have a neighbor who gets EVERYTHING delivered (groceries, office supplies, clothes, cosmetics, takeout food-even puppy pads so she does not have to walk her dog.)
She is not old or rich. I find it weird.

Anonymous wrote:I used DoorDash once during Covid. I hate paying a delivery fee AND a delivery tip ( I do tip) so I only did it that once.
