I’m convinced that the only reason she put this event in the book is because there were witnesses and she wanted to get her side of the story out first. I bet this event didn’t go down at all like she described.

I know those folk because my husband’s great uncle told us this exact story, down to the sucks at pheasant hunting and messed with the chickens (their own chickens though.) I am NOT endorsing this, I teared up when I heard this story (it was my first time meeting these people!) and it still makes Noem horrifying.
